Winter wouldn’t be complete without these slices of nut and cream cake.

Ingredients :

4 eggs,
150g sugar,
1 sachet vanilla sugar,
120ml oil
, 120ml milk
, 250g flour,
1 sachet baking powder,
120g ground walnuts or hazelnuts,
400ml double cream,
2 tablespoons icing sugar,
1 sachet vanilla sugar for the cream,
1 sachet cream stabilizer,
80-100g chopped walnuts,
icing sugar for dusting

Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, then stir in the oil and milk. Gently fold in the flour, baking powder, and walnuts, then spread the batter onto a baking sheet. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for approximately 22 to 25 minutes and let cool completely. Slice the cake horizontally in half. Whip the cream with the icing sugar, vanilla sugar, and cream stabilizer until stiff peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the bottom half of the cake, place the top half on top, spread the remaining whipped cream over the top, and sprinkle with the walnuts. Refrigerate for at least one hour, then slice.
