Crispy Potato Sticks with Cheese
Golden sticks, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside… perfect for an aperitif or as a gourmet snack
Ingredients
- 3 potatoes
- 100g of grated cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- 2 tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of chopped chives or parsley
- Salt and pepper
- Frying oil

1. Prepare the potatoes
- Peel the potatoes and then cook them in salted water.
- Mash them into a smooth puree.
2. Prepare the dough
- Add the grated cheese, egg, cornflour and herbs.
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- Mix until a smooth paste is obtained.
3. Form the sticks
- Put the dough in a piping bag or shape it into sticks by hand.
- Place them on a baking sheet or a floured surface.
4. Cooking
- Heat the oil.
- Fry the sticks until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Drain on absorbent paper.
Result
Ultra crispy and tasty sticks, with a melty cheese center.
